Dear John, Dear John, is a new luxury womenswear brand, specialising in tailoring and classic menswear inspired pieces. The culmination of Creative Director Gillian Leavy’s 30 years in the fashion industry.

Merging luxury with sustainability, the brand uses high quality natural materials as well as archive deadstock fabrics from their studio. All Dear John, pieces are designed in Ireland and ethically produced in Ireland as well as  Portugal.

To create the sense of design-led luxury the brand envisions, the label’s branding emphasises the founders love of sketching and the process of creating a design from start to finish. The Dear John, garment label, monogram and logotype draws on her own family history and background in costuming through vintage script lettering and a foolscap linework in reference to war-time Dear John letters.
